Not normal and proud of it!

You Are 35% Normal
(Occasionally Normal)

You sure do march to your own beat...
But you're so weird, people wonder if it's a beat at all
You think on a totally different wavelength
And it's often a chore to get people to understand you

How Normal Are You?

Being grateful

As my close friends know, I've suffered some incredible losses in the last few weeks. For all of you who have offered your support through e-mail, phone calls and in person, I appreciate it more than I can say. Sometimes you offered your advice, but more often, you simply listened and let me pour my heartbreak out to you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Men can break your heart and leave you, but your girlfriends stick with you through thick and thin and never say the dreaded "I told you so" and I have the BEST friends on earth. Thanks Em, Laura, Amanda, j, and Mimi. I don't take it lightly how incredibly lucky I am.

"You know, when times are bad and you're feeling sad
I want you to always remember there's a place in the sun
where there's hope for everyone
where my poor restless heart's gotta run
there's a place in the sun and before my life is done
got to find me a place in the sun."

j's blogiversary

Congratulations to j of j's scratchpad, who is celebrating her 2-year blogiversary today!

Searching for THE book

Thanks to Amanda, tonight I found THE book to read and write a review about. "Naked in the Boardroom A CEO Bares Her Secrets So You Can Transform Your Career" is written by Robin Wolaner, a former copywriter at Penthouse. Usually, business books aren't my type of fare, but so far, this is a good and interesting read.

Welcome to my blog

Hello, my name is Amy and this is my new blog!

I'm a huge fan of blogs and have tried a couple times to maintain one of my own, but always lost the discipline at some point to continue.

I'm trying to make a concerted effort now and hope the third time will be the charm.
