A gif file that is. ResearchBuzz points to RSS2GIF, a site where you can convert your blog or Web site's feed into a gif file.

Uh... what's the point? I'm not sure I see the advantage of having your feed in gif format.
I'm guessing it's a way to make your site more visually appealing, but I agree with you. If you click the image, it just opens the blog in a new window. It needs enhanced features in order to catch on with people.
