Certain Web sites blocked in L.A. Times' newsroom
Liz Donovan of Infomaniac mentions various reports that the Los Angeles Times is using blocking software to prevent newsroom employees from accessing certain Web sites.

I missed this post earlier...
I guess my response to this is... and?
Pretty much every company uses filtering software today to keep their employees from looking at adult sites or doing other inappropriate things on the web. I'm all for free speech and freedom of information... but in my opinion there is a line...
But maybe I should keep my opinion to myself. I seem to be the only one spouting off opinions around here. :)
